What is AGC ?

It all started a decennium Ago (in 2010) ,when a small group of young and passionate Micro Club game developers had the brilliant idea of organizing a Game developing competition, in an attempt to provide a platform where the game dev community can shine and attract new people. That how AGC came to life Kind Of, back then Micro Club Had Microsoft as a partner, and since Microsoft had a tool/platform dedicated to game development called XNA, the competition was called XNA game challenge, and so the first edition occurred later on in April 2011.

Algeria Game Challenge X ( AGC 10 )

AGC is coming back better than it used to be introducing the game dev field to Algerian people through a national competition to be the best Game Developer in Algeria.

The Concept of the event

AGC's main event relay mainly on the Game development competition where people from around the country Send their games prototype and show off their skills and ideas.

AGC X will have a new perspective which is introducing the market of the Games and their development where it has special treatment in the advanced country of the world.

The event will project these ideas in different ways that we may introduce here :

1. The Game Dev Competition by allowing small teams of 2-5 players to create their own games and present it to the public .
2. Lunching conferences, workshops and webinars (Live) about the Game Dev , Games and serious Games by Algerian People and externals if possible.
3. Gathering icons of this field and Games Development studios into this event.
4. Projects and activities Showcase to show the capacity of the Algerian people especially students and more specific MC members

The Goal of the event

1. Present the potential of the Algerian developers to the Algerian people and to the world by building a successful event.
2. Engage participants in a process of exploring the business of video game development.
3. Introduce the culture of Indie Game development to Algerian people .
4. To allow the community of video game developers to exchange and structure themselves.
5. Encourage and support the development of emerging studios.
6. To support the sustainability and facilitate the expansion of established video game developers.
7. Enable stronger cultural, commercial, and media representation.
8. Opening the market (The indie video game industry) on the Algerian people and its economy.
9. Reopening opportunities for external investors to help grow this field in Algeria. ( externals sponsors )
10. Opening the door for the ESport Teams and game competitions.
